The Dee Estuary looking along the North Wales Coast
Although taking us well beyond the edge of our region, I couldn't resist this beautiful shot over the mouth of the Dee along the North Wales coast with the Point of Ayr (upper right), the Great Orme (upper centre) and the Carneddau Mountains of Snowdonia (upper left).
The Clwydian Hills
OK, a bit further west than the Dee estuary and stricly speaking a little outside our remit, but the Clwydian Range in north-east Wales, and the highest summit Moel Fammau (towards the right) in particular, are such a familiar feature of the view westwards from much of Merseyside and the Wirral that allertonOak hopes that any Welsh readers will not be too offended by the inclusion of this shot!
